Physician Assistant Studies Program Application
In order to successfully complete the Physician Assistant Studies Program Application, you will need to be able to list Volunteer, Heath Care, and Shadowing experiences.
Before an applicant is forwarded to the PA Review Committee Members, it should contain or provide proof of the following:
Bachelor's degree from a US regionally accedited institution
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Official transcripts from all schools attended
Prerequisites Course Work
Human Anatomy and Physiology with lab - two semesters or three quarters
General Biology with lab - two semesters or three quarters
Microbiology with lab - one semester or two quarters
General Chemistry with lab - two semesters or three quarters
Organic Chemistry with lab - one semester or two quarters
Statistics (business statistics not accepted) - one course
Psychology - one course
Medical Terminology (may be waived in certain circumstances) - one course
Health Care Experience
Patient care experience from reflecting the number of claimed hands on clinical experience
Documentation of Physician Assistant shadowing hours (date, time, type of provider, type of practice)
GRE (GRE Code is 5242).
Three letters of recommendation (1-healthcare provider, 2-supervisor clinical or others, and 3-Professor).
Documentation supporting all volunteerism to include dates (mission, community volunteerism, etc.)
TOEFL for all students where English is not their primary language (A minimum TOEFL score of 550 is required).
All prerequisites must be from a US regionally accredited institution.
Minimum of 2.7 (equal to a B-) in each prerequisite course.
With the exception of Psychology and Medical Terminology, survey courses do not meet the prerequisite requirements.
Online Courses will not satisfy laboratory course requirements.
